Lingo is committed to making sure we provide digital accessibility to all, including people with disabilities. We have ongoing efforts to ensure our product provides an experience that is equally usable and accessible to everyone, regardless of disability.
We at Lingo are incorporating the following measures to ensure our product is accessible:
• Include accessibility throughout our internal policies.
• Assign clear accessibility targets and responsibilities.
In our ongoing efforts to provide digital accessibility, our website and product is designed to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). These guidelines define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. Lingo is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA, meaning that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
Known accessibility limitations for Lingo
We are continually working towards substantial conformance with these guidelines, however there are some instances where accessibility limitations exist. Please see below for our currently known accessibility limitations.
User-generated content
Our product's main purpose is to allow our customers to upload their own content and build a visual language. Due to this, there may be some accessibility limitations in the content that our customers upload and share with their own internal teams. For example, we ensure the upmost privacy for the content our customers upload and therefore we cannot review the accessibility of user-generated content.
Color contrast
Our brand’s primary color does not currently meet the minimum required color contrast ratios defined in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). This primarily impacts legibility on the elements the color is used in, such as buttons and text links. This is something we are exploring solutions for, such as a secondary or tertiary color for elements where legibility is impacted.
These efforts are ongoing, and we are continuously monitoring for aspects that may not be accessible. Any portion, element or content we have created that is not accessible for any reason can be reported to us at: info@lingoapp.com
